What’s New in Acumatica 2019 R2?

The new release contains a range of new features and functional enhancements. These include updates to the platform, usability improvements and new features for accounting, project accounting, inventory and order management, construction, manufacturing and field service. With the platform, for example, users can now take advantage of pivot tables in a dashboard widget. Worldwide SMS support is available as well.

Usability improvements include predefined user roles for financial users. This helps with compliance and fraud prevention. A simplified company/ branch selector drives increased productivity by enabling users to select a branch in one click. Mobile devices now have user-defined field enhancements. Conditional formatting for dashboard table widgets allows users to specify the style of rows or columns. It is now also possible to auto-generate expense report receipts from images.

Other enhancement highlights in 2019 R2:

  • Financial Management – Ability to apply toparticular lines of accounts payable documents; Approval of AR Invoices, Credit Memos and Debit Memos; Accrual of the costs of non-stock items supports—making it possible to establish profitability non-stock transactions; Reconciliation of corporate credit card charges.
  • Project Accounting – Budget control on document entry, alerting users when budget levels are exceeded upon saving of a document; New levels of detail in project budgeting; Support for new change management processes that group multiple change requests into a single change order for approval; Project budget forecasts by period
  • Inventory and Order Management – The ability for buyers to review item prices from multiple vendors and select the vendor for a purchase order; Enhanced linking of direct sales order invoices, which processes a sales order and return lines with external POS systems; Validation of customer orders on sales orders, which automatically checks for unique customer order numbers and then manages duplicates; Ability to enter prepayment details on purchase orders.
