Warehouse Management
Industry Quick Info

A full-featured wireless capable warehouse management solution that controls the movement and storage of materials within a warehouse, processes the associated transactions, and provides real-time and web-based visibility about the status of goods in the warehouse. Automation of warehouse processes delivers value through efficiencies gained in both inventory and labor optimization.

System Directed Put-Away

Following receipt, the put-away process can be deployed in either a manual or system directed manner. The put-away bin location is determined based upon the put-away rule-set configured for the system, where the put-away bin is determined by an item/bin association when the solution is initially deployed. Optional rules such as put-away by FIFO, LIFO, etc can also be configured. When the item is scanned, the system will display the suggested bin for put-away to the user. The system is updated with a real-time scanning device, but if a bin location is full, or has been blocked, the user can view alternative locations for the items quickly and easily for easy inventory management.

Lot / Serial Number Tracking

All attribute information regarding the lot / serial number can be discerned throughout all warehouse processes by simply scanning the bar code label,  greatly reducing the need for further scanning while achieving full traceability of relevant information.

Outbound Operations Loading / Wave Planning

Plan and execute grouping of outbound shipment orders into trailer loads or picking waves. A number of configuration options are available that provide the ability to meet a customer’s exact load management needs. These include the ability to define and group orders that will be displayed for load building, and their associated sort sequences, as well as provide capacity feedback for trailer loading with weight and cube restrictions.

Quality Control

Place inventory on or off QC hold. While on QC hold, affected inventory will not be available for picking or other transaction activities. Inventory may be placed on or off hold by order, lot / serial number, or item, and will take into account lot trace attributes when applicable. QC Hold reason codes are completely configurable to your business model.

Container Splitting Capabilities

Split large or complex orders into multiple containers to optimize the outbound order process and work load level throughout the facility. Orders can be split by order type, order size, number of lines, weight maximums, container heights, by zone, and product classifications to optimize the outbound labor requirements and the fulfillment process.

Reporting Capabilities

Crucial to any business is the ability to bring visibility and clarity to the underlying data and performance metrics. Three reporting modes for viewing both real-time and historical data are available
