Process Manufacturing
Industry Quick Info

Written specifically for the formula/batch manufacturing industry, the Process Manufacturing series uniquely addresses the production tracking needs for companies that produce things like paint, chemical, food, dairy, bakery, fragrance, flavorings, beverage, adhesives, inks – anyone who uses a formula in the manufacturing process will benefit from the capabilities provided.

Formulas

Utilizing a master formula model, the same formula may be assigned to various finished goods. It is also possible to assign different formulas to the same finished good, thereby providing solid flexibility so that facilities that produce the same finished good can use different raw materials as the situation calls for.

Lot Control

Lots are tracked in detail and lot characteristics can be used in production planning and control. This makes it easy to alter a production formula dependent on the characteristics of the lots available for production, which saves time by adding efficiency to the overall production process, and inventory management.

Quality Control

QC Testing is assigned at the formula level and at the finished goods level, allowing certain tests to be run whenever a formula is created and different testing for the finished product is needed.

Unlimited Units of Measure

Unlimited UOMs can be established for any raw material or finished good, providing the users ultimate flexibility in identifying products, reporting requirements and the results of operations.

Addresses Hybrid Production

Hybrid manufacturers will find that they can easily address the common elements typically found in their sector. BOM capabilities for the filling operations and multi-level routing model is included.

Roles Based Development

Key roles for every user within the system have been identified to ensure proper security and to provide the most relevant information for each role. Such roles include

  • Product Developer
  • Production Controller
  • Production Scheduler
  • Compliance Officer
  • Quality Control
  • Operations Analyst
  • System Administrator / Support

FDA Compliance

The ability to trace a lot from the customer back to the lots provided by the raw materials suppliers or from the raw materials supplier to the customer is built into the system, providing piece of mind when it comes to FDA requirements.
